August 2024: Osor Material Culture Under the Microscope

At the Archaeological Museum of Istria in Pula, our team recently processed material culture from Osor as part of ongoing project activities.

We carried out:
Documentation, photography, and drawing of artefacts.
Sampling and preliminary analysis of metal objects, including bronze, silver, and gold, from both prehistoric and Roman contexts.

In total, 30 samples were collected for upcoming isotopic analysis, which will help us better understand the provenance and technological choices behind these remarkable finds.
