March 2024: Documentation and Preliminary Analysis at the Croatian Conservation Institute in Split

As part of the Osor Beyond the Myth project, we identified and classified material culture—primarily ceramics—at the Croatian Conservation Institute in Split. The material, recovered during protective underwater investigations in the Lošinj Channel near Kavanela, spans from prehistory through antiquity to the Middle Ages and the modern period. Our work included primary analysis, comprehensive documentation (photography, descriptions, cataloguing, and assessment for further conservation), and a preliminary evaluation for a future joint publication.
