January 2024: The Histri and Their Contemporaries

As part of the events related to The Histri in Istria at the Winckelmann Museum in Trieste, the exhibition’s author, Martina Blečić Kavur, gave a lecture titled The Histri and Their Contemporaries. The lecture explored the interactions between the Histri and other peoples inhabiting the Adriatic basin, shedding light on their cultural, economic, and social connections. Special attention was given to the relationship and interconnectedness between Nesactium and Osor, offering new insights into their historical significance.
