May 2025: Guest lecture at the University of Zadar

Between 19 and 23 May 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Martina Blečić Kavur from the University of Primorska, Faculty of Humanities, visited the Department of Archaeology at the University of Zadar as an invited guest lecturer.

Her visit was part of the research project ARIS “Osor Beyond the Myth” (N6-0292), aimed at fostering academic exchange and strengthening cross-border collaboration in Bronze and Iron Age archaeology. The lectures were grounded in material culture, especially metal finds from Slovenia and the northern Adriatic, with a spotlight on the key site Osor (Death in Osor: Between Funeral Ritual and Commemorative Practice), central to her ongoing research.

The visit enriched regional scientific cooperation and deepened connections among young archaeologists and experienced researchers alike.
